Who Are Works Infrastructure?
We are a national UK civil engineering and construction contracting business formed originally from two regional contracting companies with over 20 years experience of delivering construction services.
The Sillars Group of Companies, a Northern-based building, civil engineering and surfacing company; and DMQA Technical Services, an Eastern-based Network Rail maintenance contractor, were amalgamated in 2006 to form Works Infrastructure Limited following acquisition by the Downer EDI Group.
Our parent company, the Downer EDI Group, is a leading infrastructure engineering business throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific. With annual turnover in excess of $600 billion, the Downer EDI Group has a wealth of experience, knowledge, track record and financial muscle.
With a strong history in construction, rail, engineering and public domain maintenance, the Downer EDI Group sees the UK as a well-deleloped, attractive market for its services.
The formulation of Works Infrastructure Limited is therefore the bridge head of Downer EDI Group UK's business expansion.
