- Managing working hours is essential to eliminate the risk of fatigue.
OUR COMMITMENT
We will
- In accordance with the HSWA74 provide safe places of work
- Ensure all activities are risk assessed with consideration of the effects of travel and working hours.
- Ensure all risk Assessments shall be carried out by qualified experienced individuals.
- Ensure that the calculation of risk includes all travel time and time on site.
- Ensure that all turns of duty will be planned to not exceed fourteen hours (door to door)
- Ensure in extraordinary circumstances where a pre-planned activity may have to exceed the planned timescales, a new risk assessment shall be carried out
- Ensure that risk assessments will involve consultation of those involved in the work activities to establish their opinion and fitness to continue.
- Ensure that this policy is understood and is reviewed at least annually to ensure its continuing suitability.
- Treat any deliberate breach of this policy as a disciplinary matter.
